Facebook has been struggling to recover from various controversies related to fake news, election meddling and hate speech.
They are trying to replace the ‘share’ option with those posts that spark comments among people.
This also means that we would be able to see lesser advertisements on the platform!
This move would, however, hurt publishers, who initially had paid to get the desired reach on the website.
Some feel that it is a good move as we would now be free from passive consumption of articles and videos which are unnecessary.
The company aims to promote better experience on their website, even if it means that it would harm money flow from sponsors.
